Pattern Project
Interior Design at VCU
This pattern is 30 by 60 inches and was printed on matte paper. The idea of human connection is represented through the final work. Throughout the process I used deep and meaningful human connections as the inspiration. Thermochromism is the mechanism of a surface changing color when heat is applied to it such as human hands, this is seen in mood rings. To show the varying levels of human connection some hands were deeper values while others escalated to lighter values, the deeper levels represent the deep connections we as humans are capable of. The words “I’d take a bullet for you” were chosen because that is an act that displays such a deep human connection of love and self-sacrifice.
